Caerphilly Dirt Jumps to be flattened
Steve Aicheler from Castle Bikes just contacted us to let us know that Van Rd Jumps in Caerphilly are going to be flattened, there is NOTHING we can do about this, we have tried! That's the bad news. The good news is the Forestry Commission are willing to fund the building of the new jumps! They have appointed Rowan Sorrel to take the lead role in design and build, many of you will have heard of Rowan, and it's great to have him on board. His routes at Brechfa and in other places have proved to be very poular. We are meeting with Rowan on Tues 15th At 5.45 at the shop. If you want to be involved in the design process please let me know and you are welcome to come along. Please let me know first though. www.castlebikes.co.uk

Its always a shame to hear that established jumps are being removed but at least they are redressing the balance by introducing new sets that will no doubt be fantastic with Rowan's input! Hopefully I'll get a chance to ride them some day

Further update: The bulldozers have been and gone.

Quick request - Please please please DONT start digging new jumps at or near Van Rd, digging new jumps will jeopardise all the work we are doing to keep the site open!
